Hosted in Chiang Mai and Bangkok, Thailand, the #Manel_Exhibition (all-male panels) was created to spotlight the persistent lack of women’s representation and participation in public discussions and decision-making spaces.

As the graphic designer, I designed all exhibition and promotional materials and managed social media communications for the project. For the Bangkok exhibition, I also served as curator, guiding four artists in developing works that explored gender equality, women’s participation, and inclusion.

One poster from the exhibition went viral within Burma’s democracy movement. Featuring the direct question “WHERE ARE THE WOMEN?” alongside the faces of male public figures who had participated in #Manels, the poster sparked significant discussion—and controversy—among both men and women. Its response demonstrated how provocative visual communication can challenge established norms and bring greater attention to the exclusion of women from important public conversations.
